Punk icons THE INDEPENDENTS will be back on the BOXCAR stage on October 18th as part of their 25th Anniversary Tour! Child of October will be the opening act.

- The Independents have played over 3700 concerts worldwide and counting.
Formerly managed and produced by the late, great JOEY RAMONE, THE INDEPENDENTS have performed almost non-stop, touring with bands such as THE RAMONES, MISFITS, VOODOO GLOW SKULLS, CHEAP TRICK and THE QUEERS; just to name a few. The Recipe: 1 part Ramones, 1 part punk, 1 part ska, and a whole lot of Elvis. This is one band that truly has mastered the horror-punk sound. The Independentsare ska-punk bliss. They've captured the horror punk sound so completely, not only have they installed that style to their music but have changed it around and given it a fresh sound mixing in Ska beats and Ramones-ish pop to it.

Children of October, a Horror/Punk/Metal band from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, having a cult following worldwide, has been terrorizing punks since 2006 with their "more metal than punk, more punk than metal" sound. The band has released 3 full length records and 2 ep's each getting heavier, faster, and more technical.
